Tamara de Beer
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here and taking the time to visit my website.
Allow me to introduce myself:
My name is Tamara de Beer, and I’ve been a dedicated Ayurvedic Therapist for nearly 15 years. I completed a comprehensive 4-year HBO program at the Academy of Ayurvedic Studies in Amsterdam, which included hands-on internships both in the Netherlands and India.
I began my practice by offering health consultations aimed at providing you a healthier, stronger, and more balanced body, mind, and emotional state. Over time, I expanded my services to include specialized massage therapy, focusing on relaxation, stress relief, boosting energy, alleviating physical pain or injuries, guiding individuals through life's challenges, supporting burnout recovery, and addressing more serious health concerns.
No matter what brings you to me, you are always welcome. I find deep fulfillment in providing massages and holistic bodywork. Connecting with you through touch and energy is a mindful, healing experience for both of us, and it brings me immense joy to see you leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Some clients visit weekly or monthly for a therapeutic relaxing massage, while others schedule seasonal health consultations or occasional sessions to recharge. For some, I provide ongoing support through regular massage treatments, other bodywork and coaching, meeting weekly or several times a month. It all depends on your unique needs, health goals, and my professional recommendations.
In my massage treatments, I use warm sesame oil and apply long, deep strokes to soothe and calm your nervous system. My approach is highly intuitive—there’s no fixed routine or repetitive plan. Instead, I attune to your body’s unique needs, letting my hands follow the guidance it provides. I gently work through deeper layers as your body allows, creating space for healing to unfold naturally. I see myself as an instrument for life energy, allowing it to enter me and flow through my hands into you.
I offer massage treatments that integrate yogic breathwork to help you connect more deeply with your body and the present moment. Each session begins, continues, and ends with gentle breathing exercises designed to relax your mind and open your entire being. Throughout the massage, I continue with breathwork and may occasionally invite you to sync your breathing with mine, creating a harmonious flow of energy. The massage itself features slow, intentional, and deeply restorative movements, allowing our energies to expand together. Every step of the experience is conducted in a safe and nurturing environment, with your comfort and consent as the top priority.
For the past 10 years, I have been passionate about providing pregnancy and postnatal care. Monthly massages during pregnancy offer incredible benefits for both you and your baby. To support your recovery after childbirth, I recommend regular massages during the first six weeks. In Ayurveda, the first 42 days after giving birth are considered crucial—they set the foundation for your health over the next 42 years. It’s not an exaggeration, it’s wisdom passed down through generations!
Over the years, I’ve worked with many women who, a year after giving birth or during menopause, faced health challenges that could often be traced back to not prioritizing proper care during the initial postpartum period. That’s why ‘de kraamtijd,’ the sacred postpartum window, is so vital for your long-term well-being.
My goal is to support you holistically during this transformative journey. Beyond providing massage treatments, I offer guidance on nurturing yourself during pregnancy and postpartum. From understanding what to eat and drink, knowing which activities or sports are ideal, to managing emotions and balancing hormones, I’m here to help you navigate this special time with care and confidence.
After childbirth, I offer nurturing massages with warm oils in the comfort of your own bed, dedicating as much time as needed. These sessions are slow, healing, and filled with care, creating space to support you.
Additionally, I provide restorative Ayurvedic herbal remedies and can assist with belly binding, teaching you how to do it yourself if desired. I visit you at home, offering gentle, compassionate support during this tender and transformative time.
