Ayurvedic consultation

I will ask questions about your physical and/or mental issues, your lifestyle, medical history and diet. I will do a pulse and tongue diagnose and possibly do a physical exam. Then I come up with a plan to tackle your disbalances, focussing on digestive, mental & emotional balance and strength, physical relaxation and an overall happier and energetic being.

1 or 1,5 hour

Warm oil relaxing massage - Abhyanga

A therapeutic massage to slowly sooth your whole system so you become very relaxed and more in tune with your body & mind. Removing blockages and let your energy flow again. As a base I use sesame oil, sometimes combined with Ayurvedic herbs or a rose blend for pregnant or postnatal women.  The type of massage (pressure, movement & 'speed') is adjusted to what I feel is needed for you according to your present constitution (Vata-Pitta-Kapha). I might ask you some questions beforehand to fine tune that.

It a a massage from 'top til toe', front and back, finishing with a head massage.

The room will be warm an I will cover you with a blanket(s). On cold days there will be a fire burning in the wood stove :)

You can wear your knickers/underpants or be naked, whatever you feel comfortable with.

At my workspace in Almere Hout or visiting you at home for late pregnant and postnatal women.

- about 75 minutes -

PLEASE NOTE: I do not provide sexual acts, touching of the genitals, yoni/lingam massages, 'happy ends' or accept sexual remarks-and misconduct.

Warm oil massage - Abhyanga - with Tantra/Yoga breathwork

A massage where we start with a breathing exercise while you lie on the table with my hands on your body. Sometimes we will start with a short meditation. Slowly I'll begin massaging you with warm oil. All strokes are deep, long and slow. The emphasis is to connect you again with your whole being and all around you. Using my hands as a tool to make that happen. I continue doing soft breath work during the massage and maybe I will invite you to join me in that, or not. Whatever feels right at the moment. All my massages are very intuitive, there is no set form I repeat every time. Beforehand we will discuss what feels right and what doesn't for you and you are always very welcome during the massage to adjust that.

Pregnancy massage & coaching

What is best for you and your baby during pregnancy in which month?

Which activities are good to do or best avoided?

Which food, drinks and medicine to take?

How is your emotional & mental strength?

Is your body open and relaxed?

I will guide you through the months and help you prepare for birth.

Next to a monthly consultation I advice a monthly massage and in the 9th month a weekly massage to prepare you for birth.

Postnatal care/massage

Visiting you at your home, giving you a soothing warm oil massage and a listening ear. Taking all the time that is needed, no rush.

I can also belly bind you and explain to you how to do that. When the bleeding has stopped we can do a yoni steam with appropriate herbs for your recovering. Advice you which Ayurvedic medicine are beneficial for your recovery.

I can coach you in what's best for you the first 6 weeks after birth (up to the first year): what to do and what better not to do,

eat & drink, how to balance your hormones and get your strength back.

Anything of the above is possible, tailor made, whatever suits you.

'Nourishing your Soul' therapy session

A session of 1 hour or 1,50 hour where we sit on a shiatsu mat on the floor with the intention for you to sink deeper into your body, to feel your body again, to nourish your whole being, to let go...., to release, to relax deeply.

How?

Breathwork exercises, guided meditation, ayurvedic yoga postures (especially restorative yoga) or other bodywork. Whatever is needed at that time, whatever needs nourishing.
